Children’s Day & English Carnival 2025 – Celebrating Dreams and Ambitions at SRSP Batu Pahat
At SRSP – Sekolah Rendah Seri Presbyterian – Primary School Batu Pahat, Children’s Day 2025 was celebrated with double the excitement as it was combined with the English Carnival. Themed “Ambitions,” the event inspired students to explore their dreams and express their future goals creatively through costumes, performances, and games.

The school compound was filled with vibrant energy as students arrived dressed as their dream professions — astronauts, chefs, doctors, nurses, soldiers, police officers, teachers, footballers, cyclists, ballerinas, life coaches, and even influencers! Each costume represented a child’s unique aspiration and reflected their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.

The celebration kicked off with a motivational speech by the Chairman of the Board of Governors, Ms. Leong Yeim Tai, who congratulated the children for having dreams of noble vocations. She also inspired them to think beyond long-term ambitions, urging them to set short-term goals for the coming months or year and to work diligently toward achieving them. Her words reminded the students that every big dream starts with small, achievable steps.

The day was filled with fun, laughter, and learning. Students showcased their talents through singing, dancing, and public speaking performances, displaying impressive confidence and communication skills. The highlight of the English Carnival was the series of language-based games designed to make learning English fun and interactive.

One of the crowd favorites was “Pictionary,” where each class guessed what picture their artist classmate was drawing. The competition encouraged teamwork and creativity while reinforcing English vocabulary in a joyful way. Another engaging activity was the giant Word Search puzzle, where students raced to find hidden words — an exciting test of observation and spelling.

After a morning full of performances and games, the classes gathered for a Class Party, where they shared food, laughter, and friendship. Plates were filled, conversations overflowed, and the festive spirit was undeniable. The celebration concluded with a happy sing-along session, marking a joyful end to a day that will be remembered for years to come.

Through this event, SRSP Batu Pahat not only celebrated Children’s Day but also strengthened students’ love for the English language, creativity, and self-expression. The English Carnival served as a meaningful reminder that learning can be fun and that every child’s ambition, no matter how big or small, deserves to be nurtured.

As a school that promotes both academic excellence and holistic growth, Sekolah Rendah Seri Presbyterian Batu Pahat continues to create opportunities for students to dream, express, and achieve — one ambition at a time.
